Ray Bane kept journals throughout his years in Alaska, first as a school teacher and later as a steward of wilderness in his work for the National Park Service. His journals and photos are the pillars of Our Perfect Wild. The book is a snapshot of Ray and Barbara’s many adventures in the North and a testament of their commitment to the wild places they loved.
